The London Lions Club recently honored the Peace Poster contest winners for 2024. London Middle school students participated, submitting approximately 100 total entries. Fifteen of those entries were forwarded from the school to the Lions Club for final judging.

The club named Kiki Oiler as the overall winner. Other top finishers were Juniper McLaughlin in second place and Carmen Kapileo and Carson Payne who tied for third place. The top finishers were treated to dinner and a ceremony at the Coover Club House in London. Each received a certificate and a cash prize.

“The posters this year were so good. Our club had trouble deciding which poster was the winner,” said London Lions member Sydney Hanley, chairperson for the 2024 competition.

The Lions Club sent Oiler’s poster to the district level for the next round of judging. The winning poster in the district contest advances to the international competition.

Lions Clubs International has clubs in over 200 countries around the world. The winning poster in the international competition will be displayed at the United Nations building. The winner will receive a scholarship.
