Our Government
The City of London is proud to partner with the Cat Welfare Association and Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic to offer a feral cat trap-spay/neuter-return program.
This program is only for feral cats. A feral cat is not socialized to humans, cannot be handled, and is not simply an "outdoor cat". If you are looking for assistance with a non-feral cat, please contact Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic for further direction.
The process to participate in the program:
- Get the voucher from Cat Welfare Association
- Contact Sunnyside to schedule spay/neuter and/or flea treatment
- Get the trap(s) (if you need one) from the London Police Department
- Trap the feral cat(s)
- Have a plan in place to care for the cat between surgery and release
- Complete the form for reimbursement from the City of London
We cannot stress strongly enough to be safe when trapping feral cats, both for yourself and the animal. To learn more about safe trapping practices please visit Alley Cat Allies.
All cats altered through this program will be ear tipped, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Individuals must live in the city of London, and the feral cats must be trapped in the city of London, to participate in the program. To receive reimbursement you must provide all of the following through the reimbursement form linked at the top of this page:
-Copy of driver's license or ID card
-Copy of proof of residency
-Copy of the check made out to the Cat Welfare Association
-Copy of the Cat Welfare Association voucher
